The Fort Sumner Museum
You are entering a partial reconstruction of Fort Sumner, built in 1970, shortly after the site was designated a New Mexico State Monument. The fort's original adobe walls had disintegrated to the elements. These walls represent one of three barracks that lined the parade ground. Please enjoy the tour of the soldier's barracks exhibition. There is a restroom on the left side of the breezeway for your convenience.
