Join Fort Selden Historic Site staff to see the sunrise over the historic ruins and enjoy scenic views of the Robledo Mountains. Visitors can use the early morning light and shadows for artistic inspiration, painting and sketching, or enjoy wildlife viewing and birding. Mornings can be very cold this time of year so please dress accordingly. Ranger Kevin will lead an all-ages talk about hares as visitors tour the site at 11 a.m. The lecture will include interesting facts about the species and talk about how the soldiers at Fort Selden would supplement their diets with wild game.

Admission is free to New Mexico residents and is $5/adult for non-residents and free for children 16 years and younger and NM Disabled Veterans.
