Sunrise Over the Ruins: All About Coyotes
At Fort Selden Historic Site

Join Fort Selden Historic Site staff to see the sunrise over the historic ruins and enjoy scenic views of the Robledo Mountains. Visitors can use the early morning lights and shadows for artistic inspiration, painting and sketching, or enjoy wildlife viewing and birding. Mornings can be very cold this time of year so please dress accordingly. Ranger Kevin will lead an all-ages talk about coyotes at 11 a.m. The lecture will include interesting facts about the species and address how they have been incorporated into icons, legends, and storytelling. The lecture will also include basic biology and their important role in their ecosystems. Admission is free to New Mexico residents and is $5/adult for non-residents and free for children 16 years and under.
