Campfire Kitchen at Fort Selden
At Fort Selden Historic Site
5/18/24, Saturday
10:00am - 11:00am
Did you know Fort Selden Historic Site has gardens? Take part in the care and cultivation of the onsite gardens, learn about the types of gardens that Fort Selden had as an activity military post, and gain an understanding of the importance of agriculture in southern New Mexico. We’ll then do a campfire cooking demonstration using food from the garden. Note: Any active flames or cooking over a live fire is dependent on state and local fire restrictions as well as expected weather conditions and current wind speeds. Demonstration and ranger interaction is included as part of general admission of $5/adult. Free for children 16 years and younger. Please call 575-526-8911 for more information.
