Today, the Navajo Nation covers 17 million acres of northwestern New Mexico, northeastern Arizona and southeastern Utah. The Navajo is the largest Native American nation in the United States. The Navajo visit here to honor their ancestors. The Mescalero Apache Reservation covers some four hundred thousand acres on which the tribal government oversees successful enterprises, including The Inn of the Mountain Gods and Ski Apache.
