Though this river is alkaline or salty, fish still populate this area of the Pecos River. Reported sightings include Longnose Gar, Flathead Catfish and Fathead Minnow. Largemouth Bass, Green Sunfish and Bluegill are also seen in the river though are a rarer sight. Fishing is not allowed here at Bosque Redondo Memorial.
