The Mission of the Friends of Coronado and Jemez Historic Sites is to support the conservation and restoration of historical assets and museum exhibits, and to promote through community outreach, the historical and cultural significance of the Coronado and Jemez Historic Sites – including the ancestral pueblos of Kuaua and Gisewa, the Coronado Expedition, and the Mission of San José de los Jémez. Enjoy these benefits:

• Free admission to both Jemez and Coronado Historic Sites during regular hours and to many activities such as workshops, demonstrations, lectures, and film series. A small fee may be charged for special field trips.
• Participate in our docent and volunteer program. You can participate in hands-on experience such as mud plastering and adobe building.
• Receive a quarterly newsletter.
• Perhaps the biggest benefit is the knowledge that your membership donation is helping maintain this uniquely beautiful and historic site.

Shop at Towa Gifts located inside the Jemez Historic Site Visitors Center

Open Wednesday - Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Friends of Coronado and Jemez Historic Sites opened a new gift shop at Jemez Historic Site called Towa Gifts. Open when the site is open, the shop features a wide array of items such as Native American pottery and jewelry, drinks and snacks, t-shirts, hats, books, stuffed animals, and more. Towa Gifts also features crafts made by Indigenous and local artisans. Profits from sales are used to help the historic sites with preservation and education. Purchases are sales-tax free. Friends members receive a discount on any full-priced items.
