Join Los Luceros Historic Site and Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area for a workshop making traditional pastel sticks using time-honored techniques from the Southwest. This rewarding process allows you to craft personalized art materials tailored to your artistic needs. Participants are strongly encouraged to also register for the August 16th "Drawing with Pastels" class to learn how to draw with your handmade pastel sticks.
