Event Details

Join Javier Guzman and the rangers at Jemez Historic Site to restore the horno, or outdoor adobe oven. Visitors can join in and get their hands dirty while learning why hornos are so important in New Mexico and to our site. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring water and sunscreen as well.

This workshop is for all ages and is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, Friends of Coronado & Jemez members, and MNMF members.
