Ranger Read and Learn
At Coronado Historic Site
5/17/25, Saturday
10:00am - 11:00am
In a partnership with the Martha Liebert Public Library in Bernalillo, Coronado Historic Site offers a “Ranger Read and Learn” story time that is free and geared toward children ages 3 – 6 years old. Listen to the story Billy Loves Birds by Jess French and Duncan Beedie, then talk with the ranger about the many different birds seen outside in New Mexico. You’ll talk about what birds you have seen outside, how big or small they were, the colors of their feathers, and what kind of beaks they have. After learning all about birds and trying some fun activities, participants will make paper bird masks inspired by photos of birds found at Coronado Historic Site. This program is free. Martha Liebert Public Library is located at 124 Calle Malinche, Bernalillo NM, 87004.
