At Los Luceros Historic Site
10/5/24, Saturday
10:00am - 3:00pm
Join the Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area at Los Luceros Historic Site for a meaningful and creative workshop at Los Luceros as they prepare for the All Saints’ Day Celebration. This special class focuses on the creation of life altars, a beautiful tradition that honors and remembers ancestors. Participants will delve into the significance of the three-day triduum, encompassing Halloween (October 31st), All Saints’ Day (November 1st), and All Souls’ Day (November 2nd), and explore the cultural practices associated with the triduum. They will learn how different communities celebrate and remember their loved ones during this time. Using clay, participants will craft a personalized altar to honor ancestors. The workshop is $50 per person. To register or learn more visit https://app.aplos.com/aws/give/NorthernRioGrandeNationalHeritageArea/AllSaintsDay.
