NOW LIVE: VIRTUAL SUMMER LETTERS FROM THE RESERVATION
Summer Letters from the Reservation is part of a series of virtual events, sponsored by a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and hosted by Fort Sumner Historic Site/Bosque Redondo Memorial where staff and volunteers read oral histories and archival letters from Fort Sumner during the Summer months between 1863-1868 during the Bosque Redondo Reservation period. These letters and histories provide snapshots into the experience of those who suffered under the failed experiment that was Fort Sumner so that we can remember and bare witness two this dark moment in history.
