Spring Letters from the Reservation
This featured event, sponsored through a generous grant from the National Endomwnt for the Humanities, is titled Spring Letters from the Reservation. Spring Letters is part of a larger Letters Program at the Memorial that happens three times a year. Through this program, the history of the fort and reservation unfolds by way of story telling using archival military correspondence and oral stories. Typically letters and oral stories are read by those in attendance. However, this year we are pleased to sponsor the Spring Letters from the Reservation completely online. We invite you to listen and follow along as the letters are read by New Mexico Historic Sites personnel across the entire state. Each letter includes photographs, newspaper clippings, and other artifacts to help tell the story. We encourage you to interact with the objects on every page.
